The exact details as to when this Open Beta and early access to it will begin. Early access to the Battlefield 2042 beta will be given to those who pre-order the game. There will be an open beta and early access to that open beta. The technical playtest will be done in a closed setting under NDA. Right now, EA is just saying that the test invites will be limited to “Battlefield Veterans” so make sure you’ve got a good email tied to your Battlefield accounts for previous games. You might want to bookmark this page in case they happen to put one up though. It’s unclear just how many invitation will be sent out for this closed alpha and currently there are no sign-up pages or ways to notify EA of your interest. The Battlefield 2042 closed alpha test is slated to arrive in July and DICE says that this will be an invite only technical test to play the game and test things like stability. While specific details regarding these dates is not currently available, we do know what you’re going to need to participate in both, vague as the details may be. Players will be rewarded for participating during the Alpha Testing, as part of an incentive to help make the game better, before it's Beta release. This will make the developers aware of any issues, and allow them to resolve those issues. After they are finished playing, they should report any known issues to EA and or Dice. Players need to document the issues they encounter while playing. It would be beneficial to report these issues to the developers at the correct point of contact, provided by them. Players should be aware that this is not the final version of the game, and they will encounter possible glitches and bugs within the Alpha version of the game. This information has not yet been confirmed, but is the best we have, so far. The Alpha Testing dates will be announced by Tom Henderson, after the EA Live Play showcase, on July 22, 2021. The emails don't mention Battlefield 2042 specifically, but this is the only game that playtesting would currently make.
This information comes from EA's playtesters, who began receiving emails this past weekend inviting them to participate. The 2021 Battlefield title is rumored to be Battlefield 2042.
